Weeping Willows

Every fortress has a Queen
Every Queen has a foothold
We bend and mold
Around you
Around the hollow of your voice.
We lift, we solidify
Your progress.
Stone doesn’t turn
This wall, we will shade.
Our branches will flourish
And rise with the stone
Until your reign begins
For shade and refuge
Our roots will grow over the wreckage
Healing the marks and aligning the rubble
Bring the fruit we bare to the castle
Feed the hunger and plant the seeds
We will surround
Creating a haven.
When the wind blows,
Let the rustling remind you
A stronghold our branches will weave
Protecting against harsh storms.
Look closely and the Sun will shine in fragments
Glittering around your court.
Your forest can carry any weight
Support any needs
Our roots grow deep, secure
Your army of Willows carry your tears in their whispers.

We bow in service.
